My friend’s A/C vents are full of dog hair and I can’t believe that she can even breathe in her house! The indoor air quality in the house where she lives cannot be good, that’s for sure.
There is definitely something going on in there, but I don’t know what.
Whenever I talked to her about it, she just acted like she didn’t even know what I was talking about. I told her that whenever I was trying to get my purse out from under the kitchen table, I accidentally yanked the air vent cover off of the air conditioning vent in the floor. Whenever I pulled my purse strap away from the air vent, the cover came off and I saw the inside of the ductwork. The whole inside of the air duct was coated with a thick layer of dog fur, dust, and hairballs from her cat. It was pretty disgusting, actually. That’s why I told her about it! I didn’t want her to live in a house with that kind of indoor air quality for any length of time. I think that she really needs to get the ductwork and the entire ventilation system cleaned out in her house, but I don’t know how I can just come out and say that to her in so many words. I’m afraid that she will be insulted. I don’t want to make her feel bad, but I really don’t want her to get sick over something like that, either! There is just no reason for anyone to have that kind of build up in the air vents. I know that it would be good for my friend if she had it done sooner rather than later.
