Over the years, I thought I was doing alright with our own furnace service.
- I would open up the oil furnace plus clean everything out as best as I could.
Of course I would always have the power shut off to the heating equipment whenever I was working on it. Then one Winter time day, the furnace quit working plus I was unable to figure out what the issue was. I finally chose to call an Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional plus he came over to our home within the hour which was surprising to me. I was blissful he was there though plus he took a look at everything. He complimented me on the oil furnace because it was so clean inside, but he said there was a section that had to be updated because it was completely worn. Once he had the section updated, he then told me I also had an issue with our thermostat. He said he would update me to a smart thermostat with a 25% discount if I was interested. With such a discount on a smart thermostat, I couldn’t say no, so he installed that for me. When that was done, he showed me how well the oil furnace was working. He told me that I honestly wouldn’t have any more significant concerns so long as I called for proper oil furnace service each year. He explained that the professionals suppose what they’re doing with this kind of work plus can spot any drastic concerns that a non-professional couldn’t spot. Basically, he was telling me that he knew a non-professional had been working on the system for so long, I guess it was obvious to a professional adore him. Moving forward, I’ll be calling for proper service, I don’t want any concerns.
