I had never heard of a warm morning stove.

Last month, I went to visit an aunt with my mother. I had never heard of this aunt, and I was surprised when mom said we were going to visit her. She had thought that Aunt Mary had passed a long time ago, and was surprised when she called and asked us to come to visit. I was hesitant to go visit someone who was a relative, but I had never heard of it. Looking at Aunt Mary was like looking at my grandmother, and I felt at ease. When Aunt Mary told me she and grandma were twins, I just smiled. I asked why I had never met her. She told me an odd story about going to repair a warm morning stove and ending up staying. I had never heard of a warm morning stove. She told me how they had huge air vents in the floor where the heat would rise to warm the bedrooms. There was a large coal or wood stove that was right below the air vent. She said she remembered standing over the air vent to get her feet warm before getting into bed. I laughed when she told me she was the original female HVAC tech. She learned how to repair warm morning stoves and then moved on to modern day furnaces. The first furnace she worked on was when she met her husband. She was there to work on a warm morning stove, married the owner, and they both built a large HVAC company. She never had kids, but she owned six HVAC companies. Once she sold the HVAC company, she came home and wanted to get to know her family.
