I didn’t realize that technology was completely taking over our lives until it failed on me. Suddenly, our whole life was going down the toilet, too. It’s a real problem that I didn’t pay attention to before, however these days I’m leaning towards the mentality of unwiring our life and going analog. Let myself and others tell you how the trouble all started; I bought a smart control unit. A few months ago our old control component was no longer programming itself correctly. The temperature control devices around the house were running off the rails, and I had no way to manage the heating or cooling system. I called a professional Heating and A/C corporation for help, and he firmly suggested getting a smart control unit. He called it “an update” to the Heating and A/C system. Well, I have to disagree. The truth is, this smart control component is completely useless. At least, if you have patchy Wi-Fi service, this smart control component is completely useless. Because it operates through the internet, it’s a problem when your internet service goes down. And I happen to own a actually exhausting internet service provider. Now, I can never change the indoor air temperature. The control component is resetting itself all the time. I can’t control our energy savings or USge, and I fear that our Heating and A/C units are in danger. I can’t even turn the heat off once it’s running, causing our central Heating and A/C method to drive itself into the ground as I sweat into our seat. Right now I’m waiting for the Heating and A/C shop to tell myself and others what to do, and I sure hope it includes the words “return your smart control unit.”
