My fiance was hoping to get a smart thermostat to go with our new Heating and Air Conditioning machine. I wasn’t exactly thrilled to spend a lot of extra cash on a thermostat when our programmable had been doing fine, although she was insistent. Instead of causing a rift over the thermostat, I gave in and purchased the smart thermostat. I’m not actually saying that I did not adore the whole idea of the smart thermostat, what I’m saying is that I did not love the smart thermostat much at all. From the first time all of us had the thermostat installed, I had a difficult time. There was no way I was able to figure out the rules and regulations of how to set up this modern thermostat, however all I knew was that I had to pull out my smart cellphone and install an app. With that, I should be able to use our new thermostat. The drawback with all this was that my fiance had a smartphone, and I had just a totally plain old cell phone. There was nothing smart about my cellphone to be honest and now, my fiance had all the ability to change thermostat settings whenever she had the desire and I had no say in it! I have to admit that she was nice enough to not set uneven temperatures that were absolutely miserable. I still think that my fiance and I could’ve done just fine without a smart thermostat, but it made her cheerful so it’s alright. I can only hope that 1 day I am able to figure out how to use the smart thermostat.
