I can’t even begin to tell you how great my new radiant heated flooring is.
I don’t know why I didn’t have this stuff installed years ago because it is amazing! When you’re someone like me who is constantly cold all the time, winter can be really brutal .We live in an area of the country where the temperatures get really cold, and when you have wood flooring all over your entire house, and that means that your feet stay cold for months at a time.
I know that sounds like I’m complaining, and that’s really not my intent. I love my house and I love my wood floors, but I really hate having cold feet. It seems that no matter how high I turn the temperature up on my thermostat, the furnace just can’t keep up. The furnace can’t make the house warm enough to keep my feet warm on all of these hard cold surfaces! Anyway, over the summer, I had my local heating and cooling company come out to the house and they ended up installing something called radiant heated flooring for me. It was something I had read a little bit about and they sold me on it really quickly. It sounded like the best idea I had ever heard of, and now that winter is finally here, I realized that it actually was the best idea that I ever heard of! Radiant heated flooring has got to be the best invention of the past century! In my opinion, it’s 100 times better than forced air heating.
