I really want to get a new smart thermostat for our house.
However, as usual, I’m getting push back from my wife about it.
Sometimes I wonder why I even bother to consult with her about anything at all. She always complains and fights with me about anything that I want to do, especially in regards to working on our house in any way at all. It’s really annoying and sometimes I wonder why we ended up getting married in the first place! I know that sounds terrible, but my wife really likes to be in charge of everything and so there is a constant power struggle going on around here in our house. Dealing with the HVAC system in our house is no different, either. We are always fighting about how the thermostat should be set because she likes for the house to be freezing cold and I like for it to be warm. Every time I turn around, she’s messing around with the air conditioning programming and it drives me bonkers. That’s one of the reasons that I want to get a new smart thermostat! If we have an HVAC technician come out and program everything for us, then she is way more likely to leave the thermostat settings alone than if I program it! That is just the way she is. She’s a very difficult person to live with, that’s for sure. I know that a new smart thermostat will end up saving us money on our heating and cooling bills. I’m going to get one for us whether she likes it or not.
