We demanded a new room with better air conditioning at the resort

I had been looking forward to the vacation for a long time.

We were all exhausted after working for such a long time.

We had been friends since college but never lost touch as friends. Each of us had a busy career, but we were the best of girlfriends. One of us suggested we go away for the summer, and we did our best to make sure we were available. When we got to the resort, we were shown our suite. It was an executive suite with three bedrooms. But it turned out to be the worst space in the whole resort. It seemed no one had bothered to dust it or make sure the AC system was working. Not only was the room dusty, but it was also hot and humid, which made it quite uncomfortable. We tried our best not to complain about the poor AC and took a nap after the long flight. But it was impossible to get any sleep since we were all sweating. The cooling system in the resort suite was not effective at all. I called up the front desk to explain that there seemed to be a huge problem with the air conditioning. The concierge explained they’d sent over someone to come and check the HVAC unit. But half an hour later, we were all still waiting for a technician to come and mend the faulty air conditioner. We had enough and decided to head to the reception. We no longer wanted someone to come and fix the faulty AC. We wanted a new suite that was clean and had a functioning aircon system. If not, we demanded a full refund from the resort. The manager came and made sure we got what we had asked for: a clean room with excellent air conditioning.
