And there doesn’t seem to be any sort of reasoned thinking when it comes to making owning a home more affordable.
It became evident that if I ever wanted to get out of the bad HVAC and apartment living, I was going to have to get creative. So some friends of mine and I decided to buy a house collectively. We did the research and worked out a legal agreement to protect all those involved. Then, we simply pooled our savings for a down payment. Finding the perfect house took a while. We needed a three floor house or a two story house with a finished basement. There were 3 couples that would need their separate HVAC controlled living space. We finally did find that house and snapped it up. It was 3 floors and a communal kitchen set up. The old HVAC was tired and had to be replaced. We weren’t all that interested with another central air system since we all wanted independent HVAC control. That’s why ductless HVAC turned out to be the perfect option. The house was in pretty good shape so we were able to do the necessary renovations ourselves. However, we did turn to the HVAC professionals for help with the ductless HVAC units. We ended up having 4 installed. There was one for each living space and then one for the kitchen and dining room area. It has worked out perfectly because we are able to customize our HVAC comfort and enjoy a very comfortable kitchen.
