The technician found our refrigerant levels to be low

My wife and I called an air conditioner repair service to tune up the equipment before the temperature got entirely too warm.

It’s always a great idea to clean and maintain the AC before the weather is hot.

My wife and I always have the air conditioner serviced before the heat of summer is entirely too bad. We usually call the same HVAC company. They have technicians that are smart and helpful and they always perform a quality service. When we called our regular HVAC provider, we found out that they were having a special on AC tune-ups. We saved $15 dollars in the service and we had our appointment the very next day. During the air conditioner tune-up, the technician spent a lot of time inspecting our machine. The guy calibrated the thermostat and he checked the airflow. He examined all of the components and the overall condition of each piece of equipment. The technician examined the condenser, air filters, evaporator coils, and the condenser drain lines. The technician lubricated all of the moving parts and checked the refrigerant levels. The last time that my wife and I had a full service tune up performed on the AC, we found out that the refrigerant levels were low. We had to add refrigerant to the system. I didn’t realize how expensive the refrigerant can be until I had to pay for 2 pounds of refrigerant. Thank goodness the problem was found during the maintenance tune-up, because it would have been a nightmare if we would have run out of refrigerant on a hot day.
