A knee injury means missing work for 3 weeks

I was working on a HVAC duct upgrade task Last weekand I had a major accident.

I was climbing through the attic area installing the HVAC duct, but one of the boards was loose and I fell through the ceiling into the middle of the clients’ living room.

I landed directly on my knee and I could not get up off the floor. My boss had to chance myself and others up and take myself and others to the emergency room. He sent another serviceman to finish the HVAC duct upgrade task. My boss waited with myself and others at the emergency room until a nurse saw the X-ray… She said that I need surgery to repair the damage from the fall. The knee surgery means missing 3 weeks of work. There is no way I can avoid the surgery, so I really do not have a lot of options. I will never walk officially if I do not have the damage repaired now. I’m really anxious about missing 3 weeks of work, but at least workman’s compensation will pay myself and others while I am out of work. Since the injury occurred while I was in the course of my respected Heating and A/C duties, the corporation has to pay myself and others 60% of my respected salary until I can return to work. I hate to kneel at condo bored, although I will need the time for my knee injury to heal. The nurse told myself and others that I will require intense rehab and physical therapy while I am out of work. I’m stressed to have the surgery on Friday and I’m really nervous. I really hope I will be able to work separate from any concerns after I heal.
