Driving to work in the winter

Driving in the early mornings where I live in the winter are very brutal! The temperatures are below zero most of the time and you need to jump through hoops just to get your car warmed up in the morning before getting in it.

This also takes a toll on your car’s central heating system.

And this is why I always get my car’s central heating and air conditioning tuned up a few months before the brutal winters begin. When I have to go to work in the mornings on weekdays, I am having to start the car about 15 to 20 minutes before I even get in it and let the car run. The central heating is cranking the whole time trying to cool things off. Sometimes it will take longer than others if the hoses that pump the heating in the car are a little frozen from the below zero temperatures. This is something you have to be really careful of when doing this daily process. If you ever find that the hoses are frozen this could potentially mean trouble for your car, and you will have to get the thing into an auto mechanic right away in order to save both your car battery and the central heating and air conditioning system. On the flip side of things, your air conditioner in your car is just as sensitive. But that is a whole other story that I will tell at a completely different point in time. For now I am just talking about the brutal winters and the central heating inside your car.
