It wasn’t too long ago when I was experiencing some troubles with my gas furnace.
It wasn’t heating the house like it should, and I had to wear additional layers just to keep warm.
I ended up asking my boss if I could get the day off to have the gas furnace repaired. It didn’t seem like a huge problem for the boss, but he said he absolutely needed me the next day. I thought it would be no issue, so I agreed to that. When I got a hold of the HVAC company, they were trying to tell me they couldn’t get an appointment until the next day, the same day I promised my boss that I would work. I pleaded with the HVAC company to please come out that same day, so they worked in having an HVAC worker coming out later in the day, which I was thankful for. The thing is, I waited around for all that time, and the HVAC technician never showed up. When I called the HVAC company up and told them he didn’t show, they apologized that he was just too busy to make it to my household. They said it would have to be the next day and so I called my boss. My boss was very angry, but I explained that the HVAC technician never showed up. He said I should have been there for work then, but I had to wait there for the HVAC worker to arrive. He reluctantly let me take the next day off. Finally, the HVAC worker arrived and he was able to repair my gas furnace. I was so thankful because I was freezing in my house before the heating system was repaired.
