This year for my birthday, I have decided to ask for something different than the usual clothing or jewelry that I usually get.
I usually like to get something completely impractical.
I mean, after all, isn’t that what women usually want for their birthdays and for holidays? I guess I’m just feeling different about a lot of things these days now that I’m getting older. This year, I ended up having to make a whole lot of repairs on my HVAC system in my house and it cost me a whole lot of money. Of course, at any rate, one has to have a furnace and an air conditioning system and so I bit the bullet and paid the HVAC company to come out and do all the work for me. My poor bank account was still suffering and trying to recover from that round of HVAC repairs when my thermostat went on the blink. I did some research online about different types of new thermostat units and I found something called a smart thermostat system that sounded really interesting to me. With a smart thermostat unit, you can adjust your heating and cooling system from anywhere in the world as long as you are connected to wifi. I love the whole idea of being able to do that. That’s why I asked my parents to purchase a new smart thermostat system for my house for my birthday this year. They told me that they were going to get it for me and I’m so excited about getting it installed!
