The last time I had some HVAC work done on my central heating and air conditioning system the heat and a/c company had overcharged me on my credit card.
It was an honest mistake made by their computer systems.
But unfortunately they could not just refund the mistake due to their computer issues they had been having. So they mailed me a refund check that was supposed to get to me within a few days. Well, a whole week had passed and the refund check from the local heating and air conditioning company had not shown up! I called the heat and a/c company and told them I had not got it yet and asked what was going on. They did some brief research and found that the refund check had gone out a few days late due to some oversight. Again, this too was caused by the computer. Finally, the next week my check arrived and it was for the correct amount they owed me. I really hate computers all together. And this here is a great example of why! They are not perfect as everyone seems to believe in this young generation today. Things always can and will go wrong somewhere. This is why I also do not even use smart thermostats for my central heating and air conditioning system. Because smart thermostats are ran by computers! Anything that is run by a computer other than the internet I stay away from. It just isn’t reliable. Look how the heat and a/c corporation overcharged me for HVAC work! That was all because of computers!
