I am entirely afraid of bees

This summer, all of us ended up finding a huge amount of yellow jackets in our yard.

When you are someone who is as afraid of bees as I am, finding even one yellow jacket in your yard is a good enough reason to stay inside for the duration of the day.

We found swarms of yellow jackets out in our back field when we were getting ready for a sizable family cookout, and that made it even worse. There’s nothing quite like a bunch of youngsters getting stung by bees to ruin a family gathering! When my child and I were putting out all of the chairs in addition to picnic tables for the cookout, that’s when we started to notice the yellow jackets all over the place. My child knows that I am deathly afraid of bees, hornets, wasps, in addition to anything else that happens to have a stinger, so she didn’t tell me that she had seen them at first. But then when we were putting the tablecloths on, I started to notice them myself… At first, I only saw one evil yellow jacket buzzing around the table, so I froze and really hoped that it would fly away. But then, several more came up next to that one, and that’s when I took off running for the household as fast as my legs would carry me. My child came in too, although she was laughing because she’s not scared of bees like I am. I got to the household and thought about cancelling the cookout entirely. I didn’t absolutely want to do that, though, because we had people coming from out of town. Instead, I reached out to a local bee eradication and extermination business and informed them that I had an emergency!
