I fell in love with the Florida Room that is in my home. I loved the idea of having a patio that was completely enclosed. I was able to sit out there and get sunshine while not being out in the heat. I finally got to move into the house. I didn’t realize exactly how much heat could come through those glass windows. When seventy-five percent of a room is solid glass, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that it was going to be really hot out there when the sun was shining right down on me. It was actually so hot that I could barely breathe. I decided to call the HVAC company and see if there was anything I could do to get some air conditioning in the room. When the HVAC technician showed up, he looked all over the room. He said he didn’t think it would be possible to get the central air conditioning in the room. He checked every corner of the wall in hopes of finding some kind of air vent, but to no avail. He finally looked at the windows and then at the top part of the outer wall before he began to smile. He said that he could possibly put a ductless air conditioning unit at the top of the wall outside. I would have a smaller unit indoors in the same area. I asked how I would change it and he told me it was controlled with a remote. I could turn the air conditioning on and off whenever I was in the room or out.
