Be sure to change the air filter

I often call the holiday season, the candle season.

There is an obvious reason for this as our loft gets lit up like a cathedral during the holiday season. The candles are everywhere and it is entirely beautiful. However, there are other Heating and Air Conditioning considerations that fold into candle season. In general, I have never been a immense fan of the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday period. Don’t get myself and others wrong, I care about the food and the fellowship however that is pretty much where it ends. I’m just easily turned off by all the commercialism that runs rampant during that area of the year. So, I tend to just be there and support our immediate family as they revel in the holiday decorating and the like. My partner comes from a family that did not easily believe the holidays due to strict religious beliefs. Christmas was actually dire and not something that was entirely celebrated in his home. Subsequently, he just goes manic when it comes to dressing the home up for the holidays. All of us have 2 boys that join in on all the decorating and greening of our house. As soon as Thanksgiving is about a week away, I note that there are a few candles emerging that have fall colors and odors. But, as soon as the turkey day is done, out come all the assorted candles. This is our cue to go to the hardware store and buy a case of air filters. All that wax that is being burnt ends up right on the air filter literally sealing it. If I don’t change the air filter on a near monthly basis, the Heating and Air Conditioning gets badly disfigured.
