The worst time to have furnace trouble is while you and your family are in the middle of winter.
My family and I were undoubtedly unblessed this past season while I was in the last Wintertide storm, then snow was coming down like a blanket in every direction and the outdoor temperature was close to zero.
The roads already were shut down in town and a lot of folks could not viably get off of the mountain, and that’s when the kitchen started to guess cold. I never expected to find the furnace inoperable. The first time that I went and checked on the control unit, everything seemed fine. The old furnace was running and the breeze seemed to be quite warm. A few minutes later, though, I realized that the two of us didn’t have any heat coming out of the ductwork. It was still fairly early in the night, however the sunlight was already down since 4pm. I called a company to repair the furnace, however they refused to try to come up the mountain. It was too dangerous with no light and heavy snow, and I couldn’t disagree. My family and I spent the rest of the night with out our working furnace… Luckily, the two of us have a few section heating systems in the attic. All of us have them for camping, however they genuinely we useful and came in handy that night. In the morning, the two of us were the first stop for the furnace repair company. Thankfully, after all that, I was pleasantly surprised by the infancy repair bill. All of us needed a simple new ignition switch, and that area doesn’t cost a fortune.
