I used to like to go over to my grandma’s house all the time.
- We would get together and make cookies and cakes and biscuits and all kinds of baked goods.
That was always our way of bonding together and having fun together. But as you know, when you’re cooking and baking in the kitchen, the room can really start heating up. Recently, I’ve noticed that the temperature in my grandma’s house seems to be getting warmer and warmer. I asked my grandma about the temperature issue and she said that she wasn’t sure of what was going on with her thermostat or her air conditioning system. I looked at the thermostat, but of course, I know next to nothing about thermostats or HVAC systems. I asked my grandma if I could turn the thermostat down to a lower temperature. She looked at me kind of funny and said that she never turns the thermostat down any lower than seventy-five degrees. Well, in my opinion, the A/C should never go any higher than 72 degrees, even in the middle of the sinter. I didn’t realize that my grandma had this rule about her thermostat! No wonder it’s so hot in the kitchen when we’re cooking at her house. Honestly, I don’t even feel like going over there to visit in the summer because it’s just too hot in there all the time. I love being at my grandma’s house, but the lack of air conditioning is just a little bit too much for me. Maybe I’ll start inviting her over to my house instead.
