I would rather be at home

My bestie really wants to do a couples hiking trip, but he wants me to do a month long trip with his best friends Mark and Mel where every one of us hike in the mountains and get some rest in a tent.

  • There are so many different things that are wrong with this trip.

For starters, I don’t really like Mark and Mel that much. Mark is entirely unusual and gets annoying. Mel is about as much fun as white toast! Second, I am not a hiking type of gal; I don’t mind walking to places, but I don’t want to walk in the dirt and uphill at all hours of the day. Third and most important, I don’t want to camp in the woods; Why would I want to stay in a tent when I have a king sized bed at your house? Why in the hell would I give up showering when I have a shower? Why would anyone choose to pee and poop out in the wooded area? The worst might be giving up temperature control. I prefer having control over my temperature. In the day it is kind of freezing. Eventually I let my heating system turned on for a few minutes and I am toasty warm. As the sun comes up, the heating system goes off and I might even consider a/c. I really love it at night, I choose either heating or cooling to keep me a solid 82 degrees. I am able to hear the Heating and A/C click on the fans get to work. I have an amazing overall temperature, the perfect noise level and I get a fantastic night of sleep. Resting in a tent means no heating or air, no fan and I have to share a tiny section with my bestie who never shares the blankets.
