When our friends and I graduated from university, we thought it would be great to do something fun and interesting for a period of time. My buddy Randal easily made the suggestion that the bunch of us become migrant workers for a while. I honestly thought it was a fabulous idea, especially because there are tons of tasks all over the nation… Our first task occurred during the Corn Harvest in IA. My friends and I were there for a number of months while the bunch of us harvested all of the crops… During that time, the bunch of us decided to stay in a month-to-month lease property. The month to month lease apartments are commonly furnished, and this locale had 2 furnished bedrooms, a living room, and lavatory. My friends and I used to stay in hotels from time to time, but it got really pricey very quickly! Even though there is maid service, it’s very luxurious to live in a hotel for a period of time. My friends and I were eating at restaurants often and doing our laundry at a coin laundromat, with a short-term month-to-month lease. We can actually have all of the luxuries of being at a nice home without any of the stress of moving our items. This upcoming month the bunch of us are going to travel up North for the sugar beet harvest. We already rented a furnished property with a month-to-month lease. The sugar beet harvest lasts several months, so the bunch of us will be there for a couple of months we believe. After the harvest is eventually over, the bunch of us might stay and hang out with some friends for a little bit of time. The month to month lease is not very costly, so the bunch of us can truly afford to stay for five months, before the bunch of us have to look for more work around the country again.
