Last Wintertide I decided to visit a neighbor who lives in FL.
She plus I have been friends for over twenty years plus all of us properly visit a single another when all of us can.
Although this requires paying for airfare plus a hotel, the time that all of us spend together is well worth it, and unfortunately, the only time that she had free for my visit in northern FL was in August. I knew that it would be a awful time to go there, however as it was Wintertide when I made the plans, I put the whole timing thing in the back of my head plus forgot about it. Well, the time had arrived, plus I found myself in the deep South in the hottest part of the year. I took the airport shuttle to the hotel, plus after checking in at the front desk, made my way to my room. Thankfully, it was attractively air conditioned. I unpacked, called my friend, plus made my plans to meet her at an section cafe. I flagged a taxi, got into the back seat, plus into stifling heat – both inside plus out of the vehicle. The driver apologized over the fact that his cooling system was broken as he drove myself and others to my destination. I figured that the diner would be cool, plus there wasn’t much that could be done about the taxi cab. Once I got dropped off, the heat from the street plus sidewalk hit myself and others hard. I rushed into the diner to meet my neighbor plus was met with another blast ofboilingair – the diner’s air conditioner was malfunctioning! I was losing my patience – not to mention a ton of bodily fluids – by the minute. At least my neighbor agreed that all of us should leave theboilinglocation at once to find a cooler location to eat.
