I’ve never been a person who loves the great outdoors.
I’m more of an inside person, to tell you the truth.
I don’t like bugs, I don’t like the heat, and I don’t like mud. I certainly don’t like snakes or spiders, and I hate humidity! My husband loves all of that stuff, though. He keeps bugging me to go camping with him but I flat out refuse to go out in the hot summer temperatures without any air conditioning. I love being inside with nice cool indoor air quality whenever the weather outside is heating up. It’s just the way I am. I like to read and cook and watch movies, so going camping, hiking, and fishing are just not things that I like doing. Finally, though, my husband wore me down. He asked me to go camping with him so many times that I finally gave up and went with him. Of course, it turned out to be one of the hottest weekends of the year. I had told my husband I would only go if he rented an RV with A/C in it. There was no way I was going to camp in a tent close to the spiders and bears. Anyway, there was A/C in our camper, and for the first night, everything was fine. I missed my cable TV and my comfortable bed, but it was bearable at least. Then, the next day, the air conditioning stopped working. As the day wore on, the temperature outside got hotter and hotter. And as I was sitting inside the camper, I started feeling like I was baking inside of an oven! I don’t think there’s anything hotter than a camper without air conditioning!
