My new house needs some HVAC work

I was so proud when I finally bought my first home.

I had sacrificed a few things to stay out of a bad neighborhood.

For one, even though the home was in a good area of town, it was quite small compared to the surrounding houses. However, at that point in my life I only had me and my dog, so it was perfectly fine. My backyard, though fenced in, was also very tiny, and my front yard was practically non-existent, apart from the driveway. Still, I was so excited when I finally got the keys and finally had a place to call my own! One of my initial hurdles was going to be replacing the HVAC system. The heating and air conditioning system installed in the home had seen its day, and the previous owners warned me that it was temperamental and probably needed to be replaced ASAP. I love having good climate control, so I knew that I would need to replace it soon. When I attempted to use the air conditioner, I discovered that the previous homeowners were exactly right. The air conditioner could not maintain a temperature below 79°. The heat was in better shape. I tested it out and it seemed okay besides a strange smell in the air. However, I live in a very hot part of the country anyway, and I will barely ever need the heat. I guess I’ll need to start saving up my money for a new HVAC system and buy some fans or even a portable air conditioner in the meantime!
