A few months ago I absolutely needed to get out of town.
- I had just gone through a absolutely bad breakup, plus there was something about hitting the road that felt really healing.
I did not have much currency, so there is no way that I was going to get on a plane.. Eventually, I decided that I would just get on a Greyhound bus plus drive across the country until I made it to the other coast. I figured at least I would have some adventures to tell. boy, do I ever have some stories, then on this trip, I met so several interesting people. They came from all over the country, a few from across the world. We had a lot of time to talk on the bus. That is, when my buddy and I weren’t complaining about the terrible AC. I don’t know if you’ve ever been on a Greyhound bus for two afternoons straight, however but it’s a problem when there is no toiling cooling system. If I had any idea when I jumped aboard, I may not have done the trip. The air on board was so hot plus stagnant, you could split it with a knife. It was filled with the stench of hundreds, if not thousands, of prior passengers. All of the people who sat there plus sweated in the heat plus humidity had left their mark behind. The bus dank. We were stuck to the seats with sweat, plus desperately ganning ourselves. The entire time my buddy and I were also holding our noses. Honestly, I was shocked that I ever fell asleep with that amount of heat. It felt like I was laying in a sauna trapped on the open road for afternoons. I can tell you, when I finally found the other side of the country, it was the most glorious sight I have ever seen or felt.
