My best friend in high school was really successful as an HVAC technician

I had a lot of friends from high school that went off in different career paths.

One of my friends became a radiologist while another one went to school to be a doctor.

They’re both doing fairly well, but they’re not particularly happy working in healthcare in this day and age. I think it’s buddies gas that is particularly hard to be a healthcare worker at any level after the covid-19 pandemic. People have gotten really frenetic with their health care needs and complaints while also losing a large amount of respect and decorum towards the very people who give them that care. As far as frustrations as a healthcare worker, that’s just scratching the surface with the issues because there’s also the whole factor of the employers themselves. A lot of my friends who work in healthcare say they’ve been forced to work crazy hours and do insane schedules with few breaks just so that they can meet quotas and deadlines for patients. One of my close friends works in the HVAC industry instead and he’s a lot happier. Granted he has to strain his body quite a bit throughout the day and throughout the work week, but he makes a good amount of money and he doesn’t have to deal with nearly as much abuse from both his employer and his clients. And HVAC is such a valuable skill these days because no matter what climate you live in, somebody’s using either heating, cooling, or air purification of some kind. Or they might even have humidifiers or dehumidifiers in use. That’s why it’s such a valuable skill to have working in the heating and cooling industry.
