Why I love radiant heat

I know the best type of heating plan is radiant flooring.

It offers clear & exceptional benefits.

Possibly the only setback is that radiant floors don’t offer the occasion of central cooling. In my local area, that isn’t a huge thing. My priority is heating, because the cold weather hangs around for many months! One of the best home improvements I’ve made was suffering through the major mess & renovation of breaking up the old floors to put in the system of pipes. The project was expensive. However, my home now has brand modern stone & hardwood floors with the heating plan certainly concealed beneath. The equipment takes up no living area. It doesn’t detract from the look, & I don’t need to arrange my furniture to accommodate supply or return vents. There is a boiler installed in the basement that heats up water & sends it through the network of pipes. The heat from the pipes spreads across the floor from wall to wall & corner to corner. It creates a truly even layer of warmth that heats up all objects laying on it & rises truly slowly. With radiant floors, there are no breezes, cold spots or stratification. The temperature between floor & ceiling never fluctuates more than several degrees from the thermostat setting. Because the boiler uses water instead of air to transport heat energy, it doesn’t dry out the air, eliminating the need for a humidifier. The boiler & radiant flooring are a closed loop system, using the same water over & over. It doesn’t introduce any air contaminants. The plan is especially clean, quiet & reliable. With truly few moving pieces, there is little that can go wrong. Boilers are super reliable & long-lasting. Maintenance needs are so small.
