I’m glad that we got the old furnace

I have this old electric gas furnace which still works pretty well after all these years.

I looked at the Heating and Air Conditioning plan the other day, actually, and found the date it was built and was amazed it has lasted so long.

The thing was built back in 1971 and is still working some 40 years later. I guess they built it really well and ran tests on it always, however it is incredible that an Heating and Air Conditioning plan has lasted so long. It isn’t the most energy efficient component anymore however it still puts out a lot of heat in the winter, and – you know – as far as the a/c goes, it still keeps us cool in the mildly warm summers. I honestly suppose if it was a lot hotter here during the Summer the AC absolutely wouldn’t be able to cool the condo down unquestionably well, however every one of us don’t have the most unquestionably overheated summers so it seems to do the trick. I may need to get a new gas furnace tune up soon and also see if they can do something with the AC to make it a great deal colder. I’m not sure how much longer this plan is going to last given that it is so old, however at this point I’ll try to get it tuned up and see if it will supply me a few more years of cooling service. Both of us live in my Grandfather’s old lake condo and we stay on our vacations or family gatherings. He also has a few gas section furnaces as backup that simply use forced air convection to heat the rooms.
