Sometimes, it is really nice if you have two different methods of heating and cooling systems to work together in order to stay cool or warm during the seasons. It could be as simple a ceiling fan turned on alongside your air conditioner. That is what I do whenever summer comes. The summers here are not that bad, but on days that are bad enough to require more than just the A/C unit, I always turn the fans on in my home. With those two working together, I have never felt overheated in the summertime. You can do the same in the winter too. In the house I grew up in, my father had a fireplace as well as a regular central heating system. In the coldest winters, he would have the central HVAC running as well as the gas fireplace. Let me tell you, there is no way you can still be cold with those two heating devices running. I would love to sit around the fireplace with a blanket wrapped around me, and it wouldn’t be long before I would start feeling overheated, the machines worked so well! Now you might be wondering, what happens if the A/C machine stops working? Well, you would obviously have to call a HVAC dealer, but if you want, as a backup you could buy a portable A/C unit.
