I simply am not a fan of computers.
I know we need them for use in every day life these days.
However, I am not a fan. This is one of the reasons I will not get into smart thermostats for my central heating and air conditioning system. Smart technology may be great for some, but for me I just do not trust it. Not that I have ever tried a smart thermostat before, but I guess I am just old school and set in my ways. The issues I have with my home computer all the time as it is makes it just enough for me to be turned off by smart thermostats. I have friends that have smart thermostats and they love them. They work really well for them and give them all kinds of benefits. But they way I see it, by my luck, it would be totally wrong and go wrong in every way shape and form. I could see it now. The smart thermostat malfunctions and I am without heating or air conditioning for who knows how long! And with the extreme weather we have all year round with both cold and super hot, I would not even want to take that risk of having the smart thermostat malfunction and being without heating or air conditioning, depending on the time of the year. I will stick to the old school dial thermostat that I have in my home. It may not give all the perks of a smart thermostat in modern times, but at least I know it will never malfunction via a computer!
