The manager moved us to a new room without a leaky AC

My husband and I decided to take the kids to an amusement park for the entire weekend.

The place was a three-hour drive from our home and we wanted to spend multiple days at the park.

My husband and I decided to get a hotel suite with a king-size bed in the bedroom and a pull-out sofa in the living room. We put the two kids on the pull-out sofa. We had plenty of space and we did not have to pay for two separate rooms. We spent the first night in the hotel without any problems. We didn’t have any issues at all until we came back from the amusement park on the 1st day. When we got back to the hotel room, I realized that the AC unit was leaking. There was a puddle of water under the unit. I contacted the front desk manager and reported the problem with the AC unit. It was still blowing cold air, but the manager agreed to send someone to look at the leak. When the maintenance technician knocked on the door, he was accompanied by a bellhop. The bellhop wanted us to pack all of our things onto a cart so we could move to a different room. I contacted the front desk, because the manager did not mention moving to a different room. He told me that the water was actually coming from a room above us and asked us to move to a different room so they could take care of the problem. Since it was very late in the evening and we were halfway through our stay, the manager agreed to give us a complimentary extra night for free.
