Anyway, we ended up going with this guy from a local veteran owned company
Our new HVAC guy came from a recommendation that we got from social media. Now, I’m not one of those people who usually likes to depend on social media for anything at all. I don’t trust the news, and I certainly don’t care how many likes or comments I get on a certain post. However, I have found that it’s sometimes helpful when you are looking for a list of local businesses or supplies and you need a lot of opinions all at once. Our old HVAC company had recently closed down because the owners were retiring. We had been using those guys for about 20 years and so we had no idea who to go to for help for our failing gas furnace system. We looked around on the Internet for awhile, but you never know whether or not you can trust the ratings on those websites or if they are fake. That’s when I decided to look online to just ask friends and acquaintances on my social media to see if they had any one that they would recommend for us. Within a couple of hours, I had over 50 comments with people telling me who they thought we should use as our new heating and cooling technician. It was kind of overwhelming to see just how many different HVAC companies there are in our immediate area. Anyway, we ended up going with this guy from a local veteran owned company. He’s a really great HVAC technician and a good guy in general. We are happy that we found him. I guess social media isn’t all bad, if you just use it for good instead of evil!
