Looks like we’ve cut our A/C usage in half

The other day I was entirely stunned when my roommate texted me with a new idea for saving money at the dwelling.

He said he had been thinking for a while about trying to lower our energy expenditure so the two of us could go on a nice trip together! Honestly, the two of us were paying a great deal of money for our basic bills every week.

Both of us have been trying to save up, however it seemed as though there were a million reasons why the two of us did not put any savings in the bank. The massive energy bill was genuinely a major contributor… We had talked a few times about attempting to reduce our energy expenditure, despite the fact that he had made the choice that the time was upon us. He easily recommended that the two of us were not going to use our cooling appliance every summer time day. He also said the two of us would save a good amount of money simply by cutting out our cooling appliance usage in half. When I asked how the two of us were going to accomplish this, he said that clearly the two of us could either remember to turn off the air conditioner appliance every time the two of us left the home so that the cooling system wasn’t running all day long… Our other choice was to use the cooling system for only half the days of every week. I thought this sounded impossible, despite the fact that he was convinced that it was easier to turn off the A/C appliance every other day than to remember to power down the cooling system regularly. I don’t really know anything about the durability of this energy saving scheme, although I can tell you that he remembers to turn the cooling appliance off every other day. I was hoping he would forget.
