Half the air conditioning use for energy savings

The other day I was completely shocked when my roommate texted me with a modern idea for saving cash at the residence! She said she had been thinking for a while about working to reduce our energy expenditure so all of us could go on a lovely trip together. Truthfully, we were paying a tremendous amount of cash for our basic energy bills every week, however both of us have been working regularly to save up. It seemed like there were a million reasons why we did not put any savings away in the bank. The massive energy bill was definitely a major contributor. The two of us had spoken a few times about trying to reduce our energy expenditure, however she had made the choice that the time was upon us. She recommended that we were not going to use our A/C machine every Summer afternoon. She said we would save a good amount of cash simply by cutting our cooling system usage in half… When I asked how we were going to accomplish this, she said that clearly we could either remember to turn off the air conditioner machine every time we chose to leave the home so that the cooling system wasn’t running all afternoon long, and our other option was to use the cooling system for only half the days of every week. I was thinking this sounded definitely impossible, however she was convinced that it was easier to turn off the AC every other afternoon than to remember to power down the A/C machine whenever we left. I sincerely do not know about the durability of this energy saving scheme, but I can tell you that she remembers to turn the A/C machine off every other afternoon. I entirely hoped she’d forget.
