I am pretty sure this isn’t news… but residing with people sucks.
I think both of us all think that it is hard to find someone who can live in a peaceful residence with you without any issues.
Conflicting opinions in 1 house is really real, plus it can cause a lot of complications. I think this is most readily obvious when you start to consider your bills plus how they will be split. For instance, have you ever tried to talk about the energy bills with your roommate? Specifically, how the heating, cooling, under quality climate control equipment that you are using in your house needs to be carefully managed to keep the energy bills in check? This is something that needs to be discussed with your roommate before you ever have to sacrifice indoor air conditions residing together, but clearly, if you have a central indoor air climate control proposal this gets much harder. You only have 1 opening for indoor temperature plus air quality with a big Heating, Ventilation and A/C system. As I’ve found, having differing opinions about the temperature control settings, heating, cooling, plus indoor air quality will often cause a lot of discomfort in the house. If people really don’t care about maintaining the equipment to keep up with the air quality, then you get heating plus cooling equipment breaking down plus high energy bills. I knew all of this getting into my most recent roommate situation. But I didn’t realize that this jerk would refuse to chip in for air filters plus professional Heating, Ventilation and A/C appointments because “air quality doesn’t really matter.” As someone with serious allergies… I disagree. And now, both of us have absurd Heating, Ventilation and A/C bills every single month with terrible indoor air quality. Only 9 months until the lease is over.
