My partner has been really tied up these past few weeks with her work, but she’s a certified HVAC worker and she has been with the same supplier for multiple years.
She has customers who identifiably ask for her; my partner always has steady work either way, however the past few weeks she’s been getting a lot of special requests from VIP customers on top of the HVAC supplier being busier than normal! This is the time of year when people have their HVACs tested and their heating systems inspected for the upcoming winter time weather.
Most people around here have done that already however there are multiple who wait until the last minute, no matter what. However, now it’s past time and almost too late, but it’s barely fall and all of us have already been hit by a snowstorm, so those procrastinators abruptly need their heating systems tested and they want it done now. However, this is why the HVAC supplier that my partner works for is abruptly so busy. And my wife gets these special requests, and the customers ask for her, which keeps her even busier. Why someone would procrastinate having their furnace tested knowing they are susceptible to early winters is beyond me, our weather is never predictable and it’s best to be prepared early. This is especially true knowing that the HVAC repair companies would be busier at that time and you would have a longer wait time. All of us always called for our furnace check-up during the last week in September, until my wife became an HVAC tech herself; now I’m fortunate enough not to have to worry about stuff such as that.
