It is the worst of summer time right now where I live.
There just isn’t any more than one ways about it.
But, the only fine thing is that we are inching closer to the cooler weather all the time. However right now, it is sizzling as well as the HVAC is cranking. It’s the only way to get through this type of heat as well as humidity. But, as the economy has contracted, we are feeling the financial sting. Fortunately for me, I still have a job as well as am able to toil from the HVAC comfort as well as security of my home. This isn’t the case for almost everyone so, I have to be thankful. Yet, I am doing something odd this summer time in order to lower our HVAC utility bills. Normally, I have always just bit the bullet when it came to the large summertime utility bills. This summer time I changed it up a bit. First, I backed off the amount of time the HVAC is running. All it took was for me to figure our how to program the temperature control which wasn’t all that hard. Now, the temperature in the beach house rises as the heat outside rises. However, toward evening, the HVAC setting drops as well as starts cooling the beach house to a temperature that is comfortable. I also started pulling all the drapes while in the afternoon. I have been amazed at the difference this makes without the direct sunlight heating. All in all, I have seen around a 15 percent biweekly savings with minimal effort. Maybe next year I’ll do some more things that can save us even more cash.
