I then realized what happened
I have a puppy named Hawk. He is a lab and has so much energy. I just rescued him about a month ago and he absolutely loves to run around, to eat and to play fetch. It is summertime and it’s really hot where I live. It is so hot that sometimes Hawk and I stay inside the house because he gets super overheated outside. I would not want Hawk to be so hot that he gets dehydrated. I have a smart thermostat in my house which is fantastic. I can control the temperature from my phone and I use the function to preset the temperature to help me save money on my electric bill. After all, puppies can be expensive so I need to save money wherever I can. I’m really bad about leaving my phone around and Hawk loves to think that everything I own is his toy. A few weeks ago, it felt like my air conditioning was not working. I checked the actual thermostat and it said the heat was on. I was so confused because I pre-set my smart thermostat to have the air conditioning on since it is summer. I thought that either something was wrong with my thermostat or wrong with my air conditioning and I got nervous. I couldn’t imagine spending money to get my HVAC fixed right now. I couldn’t figure out what was going on, so I checked the app on my phone. It looked like somehow the preset temperatures changed from air conditioning to heat. I could not think about how this would happen since I’m the only one home. I then realized what happened. My precious puppy must have touched my phone with his paw when I wasn’t looking. Hawk accidentally changed the settings on my smart thermostat.
