Sometimes I think about how things were back in the days.
I figure it must have been difficult living without electricity, but then again, that’s what people were used to.
They used fireplaces to keep warm in the winter and they used candles for light. They even used oil from whales with oil lamps and such. It’s crazy to think about what those people did to catch and kill whales just to collect all the oil. Fortunately, things changed and progressed over the years. We were able to find oil in the ground instead of from whales, so we didn’t have to hunt these magnificent creatures. We were able to discover electricity and then we were able to make devices that ran off of electricity. Of course, one of the best inventions of all time is definitely the air conditioner! The air conditioner was invented by a man who was merely trying to figure out a way to dehumidify the air in his printing press. Well, he was successful in his endeavor, but it turned out to do more than just dehumidify the air! It was cooling the air and soon people were able to enjoy a cool and relaxing workplace and this became a big hit amongst everybody! It became especially popular with the movie theatres enjoying these fantastic cooling systems, and now we have come even further. We have numerous HVAC machines, even ones that run completely off electricity. You can hook up systems to solar panels and everything! It really is unbelievable how far we have progressed in such a short period of time!
