I have to admit, there are a number of concerns in our home, then one of the most aggravating things though is that everybody consistently fights over the temperature control settings, and as soon as the teenagers get home from college, they are trying to adjust the temperature control settings to their preferred settings.
I have actually considered getting some kind of lock on the thermostat, but that seems a little ridiculous to me.
They would all still be complaining all the time about the temperature control settings… Finally, I felt that I had enough of all the nonsense so I decided to reach out to the HVAC supplier to see how I might be able to fix this problem. The HVAC workers told me about HVAC zone control and they also told me that I could also update our HVAC to a ductless mini-split HVAC system. The ductless mini-split also has an HVAC zone control type of set up because there are separate HVAC units in every single zone. With HVAC zone control though, I can either use a smart thermostat to adjust the unusual zones with customized temperature control settings or I can have a seperate thermostat in every zone. I just decided to go with HVAC zone control because I felt that would be easier for everybody, then every one of us still have a lot of fights under our roof over all kinds of ridiculous things, but at least we are no longer fighting over the temperature control settings in the household. It’s nice having one less thing to worry about in our humble home.
