My father is a pipe guy.
- Everywhere he travels to he finds a pipe.
He researches what is the typical pipe for the country and then has to have it. He has a vast collection of all different sized pipes. Right now he has a bunch of wood stands that hold his pipes. Every pipe is slightly different in width and length. So there is no order to where they are stored and not every pipe fits in his wood stands. For father’s day I am going to get a custom made case for my father’s pipes. I found a custom furniture store online and they have a guy that does woodworking. The guy is going to make a multiple wood stands that hold his pipes. The stands are then going to be fitted inside a case with a glass front. It would display the pipes and keep them safe from dust and moisture in the air quality. The real issue is getting the sizing perfect for each pipe. I have done multiple recon missions at my parent’s house to get the information. I want the pipes to be in order of how he got them. So I have to subtly get that information out of my dad. Then I have to find the pipe, measure height and width and send it to my custom furniture guy. It is a slow moving process that might not be done for father’s day. The case for the pipes is going to be super cool once it is done though. So I am not willing to rush it and make a mistake.
