Plugging the AC vent

I know that I’m a weird human being.

People have been telling me for my entire life – or at least for as long as I can remember – that I’m an odd bird.

I don’t know if it’s true or false. But I accept that I’m not like everyone else. When I was younger, it was largely because of my wild imagination. I lived in my own little world, where there was a novel-esque narrative continually running. I was extremely attached to all animals and spent most of my time running around the yard with our pets. I didn’t have friends outside of my furry pals. I also devoted a great deal of my spare time to reading and writing books, drawing pictures, and generally being all by myself. It’s no wonder I grew up being strange. As an adult, I’m still predisposed to being alone with my animals. Another area where my weirdness has flourished with age has been my polarized view of HVAC systems. I know, I know, regular humans love central heating and cooling systems. Not me. I hate artificial air. I hate the feeling of it on my skin. I hate how AC makes me shiver when a breeze blows past. I hate how AC or modern heating devices dries out my hair and skin. I hate the feeling of breathing in brutally cold and dry air. I don’t even have central heating or cooling in my own home. Everything about modern indoor temperature regular makes me annoyed and upset. Is this weird? Perhaps. But does my hatred of HVAC keep me from living a totally boring indoor lifestyle? Yes. More time outdoors in fresh air with the animals, please!
