My husband and I had a very scary thing happened to us a couple of weeks ago.
I am still recovering from what almost could have happened to us, it really was quite a shock and I still can’t believe.
When my husband and I first moved into our home we have the HVAC system completely redone. The HVAC tech asked if we wanted to have a carbon monoxide alarm put in as well. I wasn’t sure what a carbon monoxide was and the HVAC tech said that if our home ever had high levels of carbon monoxide alarm would go off and warn us. We didn’t really think the carbon monoxide was necessary, but it didn’t cost too much more so we just went ahead and had it installed with our HVAC system. Fast forward six years and we wake up in the middle of the night to the carbon monoxide alarm going off. At first I thought it was just a dream, but then I got a call from the HVAC company that installed the carbon monoxide alarm and they told us this was not a drill. We grabbed the kids and ran out of the house until we knew it was safe to go back inside. It was so scary because we have three kids and what if we didn’t have the carbon monoxide alarm installed with our HVAC system. Something terrible could have happened. We are so grateful that the HVAC tech suggest the carbon monoxide alarm to us that day.
