Last month I graduated from school. I was so proud of what I had accomplished, however my Grandpa wasn’t. I was constantly my grandpa’s favorite, until I didn’t go to school for Heating plus Air Conditioning. He thought that our mother was wrong for not teaching myself to be a common man when I grew up. My Mom was beaming with pride when I graduated with a degree in engineering. I wanted to be the Heating plus Air Conditioning business, however I wanted to be able to design as well as build specialty Heating plus Air Conditioning systems for homes and companies. I had all the knowledge I needed to begin working for myself with automation systems. After graduation, I was looking into some classes for forming my very own corporation plus our Mom and I were talking in the dining room. Grandpa came in to ask about work and when he saw me, he walked out of the room. When I began to go after him, Mom made me sit back down. He said that Grandpa had to decide for himself why he should accept my own personal career decision. It saddened myself and my mother to see our Grandpa shunning my decision because I wanted to be something more than a heating and cooling specialist. At first, all I wanted to do was to emulate Grandpa to be a Heating and Air Conditioning repairman. I realized the importance of the quickly changing face of Heating and Air Conditioning as well as then I knew that I wanted more than a repairman status. I sat there talking to Mom when I saw him look toward the doorway. My Grandpa had been hanging around and sitting there listening to us talk.
