The RV didn’t work as I expected

A couple years ago, my friend convinced me to buy an RV that his dad had given to him.

He didn’t travel much and he knew I had been thinking about buying an RV. He made me an offer I couldn’t refuse and I bought the RV from him. He told me about the RV and told me it would probably still be working for the next twenty years. I didn’t think that was possible, but then again, I wasn’t an expert in RV’s. I couldn’t wait to take the RV out for my first road trip. I had been planning on renting an RV to take across the desert, on my first real road trip. I got home from work and I didn’t want to wait until morning to leave. I packed everything up in the RV, and my girlfriend and I headed out. I couldn’t believe how comfortable the RV was, and we ended up stopping around 2AM for some sleep. The night air was cool and comfortable, and we had the windows open for a breeze. Come morning, everything changed. We now had the dry heat of the desert and the sun blazing in through the windows. We were also without air conditioning. I had checked everything out in the RV, but I hadn’t checked the air conditioning. We made it to a gas station and I asked if they had any coolant for the RV. The man chuckled and told me he had one bottle, and it cost me dearly. Luckily the one bottle of coolant was enough to get the AC running and we soon had enough air conditioning to get us to a real service station.
