Both of us have way too multiple HVAC workers in our town.
Both of us only have a town of a couple of hundred people, and for some reason, the two of us have nearly 6 unusual HVAC companies, and obviously, I know why there are so multiple HVAC workers in our small town.
Our town used to be undoubtedly big nearly 50 years ago, and there was a major industry in our town that drew a lot of employees to labor there, for the longest time, the two of us were growing and blooming. Then, all of a sudden, another company purchased out the industry here, and they moved their headquarters to a bigger city. While the city was big, the two of us needed a lot of HVAC workers. This was back when HVAC units had a lot more moving parts and complicated pieces. Without the HVAC workers, the heating systems and A/Cs of the time would have fallen into disrepair. When the town started shrinking, everyone expected the HVAC workers to transport out as well. Both of us figured that the HVAC companies would transport to bigger cities. However, rather than moving away, the HVAC companies began to provide service to surrounding cities, with an unfortunate side effect, now, there are tons of HVAC companies, and since they mostly travel, it is hard to get them to do any local HVAC work. They get paid more to drive than to work, so the HVAC workers think no need to leave… I wish a few of these HVAC companies would just relocate to the areas where they are already working. That would save us all money on HVAC repairs in the long run.
