Lavender oil and air purifiers

I had to stop using lavender oil under my nose because it was burning my skin and causing blisters on my lips.

  • I noticed my lips were chapped a couple days after using the oil at night for sleep, and then a few days after that my skin under my nose was burning so I quit using the oil.

Now I put the oil in a diffuser so it doesn’t touch my skin and burn it. I didn’t know that the sweet smelling lavender oil was so caustic to the skin, but now I do and won’t use it anymore. Air purifying systems in my bedroom have been a staple to help me sleep, and I thought adding the lavender oil would also aid me in sleeping better, which it does, but not directly on the skin like that. My HVAC tech friend uses the oil at night and told me about it, but I should have asked while we were at the heating corp how she uses it before I started pouring it on my skin like that. But now I know and now I won’t use it on my face anymore like I was doing. Tonight we will be playing music next to a fireplace in a really cool club and I am hoping that they run their air purifier because last time I was in the club I was sneezing a lot from the dust in the place. I bet that it won’t be a problem tonight though and I think we will have a fun time playing for the people there.
