I have lived in the same area of the country for my entire life.
Most people would get tired of being in the same place for so long, but there is something about being in the same place my whole life that gives me extreme comfort. I don’t think that I will ever leave this town. However, there is one thing that I do sometimes hate about living in the south and that is the summer weather. The summer weather down here is sometimes hard to handle. You have to keep the air conditioner running all day, everyday. If you don’t constantly have your air conditioner going then your house will get to warm and it will be impossible for you to feel comfortable. I even have a smaller air conditioner window unit in my bedroom so that I can stay cool while I am sleeping. There is nothing I hate more than waking up in the middle of the night feeling covered in my own sweat. I know that most people will move down here and not be able to stand the heat or the rising energy bills. However, now that I am so used to the heat I don’t mind keep my air conditioner running all day long. I don’t think I would trade our hot and humid summer weather for anything else at this point. The summertime heat is really something that I have grown to love.
