12 cold ones cooling down in the refrigeration system

I just had a flashback to me driving to work early in the morning and listening to the DJ talk about the morning traffic.

It wasn’t a nice flashback because that traffic was brutal each morning while I drove the one hour drive to the office job that I couldn’t stand. I did that office work for seven years before calling it quits at 32 years old and forging my own path with a company I started and ran for ten years. After 10 years of running that company I got tired of just working for money and my local business was dissolved so I could chase my dreams with stand up comedy. I have since switched over to music and have probably done about 2000 shows between the two artforms. Working as an HVAC tech writer by day and a musician at night has proven to be the key that makes me feel content with where my life is going. I’ve had so many fun memories from the 2000 shows over the past almost 20 years of performing and I am so happy I took the chance and got on stage back in 2005. Performing in dive bars with old duct work running above the stage is much more fun than working a corporate job sitting at a desk and sending emails all day. I had reports due and meetings each week in the morning and none of it was memorable to me, so leaving that whole corporate world was the best decision I have ever made in my life.
